august found me in michigan, celebrating a special couple who were hosting their favorite people on the groom’s family ranch. being such a special property, meaningful to the couple’s relationship since meeting in high school, we wanted to include it in some way. an arial sketch of the property was used as one of the main graphic elements, along with a play on a william morris style floral pattern to balance the rustic sketch. we combined luxurious textures + methods of printing to wrap a proverbial bow around this beautiful parcel.

your branding is more than just 2 letters intertwined. it’s an opportunity to say much more. when we presented ashley + anthony with theirs, it quickly became a beloved event icon that made appearances throughout their weekend.

the branding was developed to communicate intentions for a healthy marriage. angular parallel lines play the role of forming the a + a letter structure, but also represent the couple’s relationship: traveling in a matching trajectory, and traveling it together. additionally, both letters are equal in height, representing seeing one another eye-to-eye with mutual respect + honor.

the monogram was the perfect modern touch to balance out the more classic elements + silhouettes in the suite. those took inspiration from their favorite travel destinations + the event property’s stunning wall coverings + art.

a vail wedding never looked so good. we love a good opportunity to elevate traditionally “rustic” event elements by juxtaposing them with elevated execution.

to this end, we took repurposed wood remnants that are originally purposed for creating skateboard decks to create a stunning accordion fold details bundle with a high impact foil stamp. engraved river rocks served as guest place settings + an arboretum inspired pattern made several appearances throughout the weekend. the raw edge sage ribbon was the final perfect addition - soft textures with a subtle nod to their traditionally rustic setting.

‘bloom where you’re planted’ may seem like a cheap turn of phrase, but we took stock in this notion while developing the design for sandi + mike. life’s circumstances had uprooted them in ways until they found one another + together their families grew. running with this notion + coupled with their beautiful chosen venue nestled in the mountains of park city, we decided to utilize utah’s state flower, the sego lily. our humble design also featured approachable textures of linen, handmade paper, stitched details + embroidered accents.

imagine a long holiday weekend spent visiting a lively + eccentric art gallery set on the waters edge of lake michigan. now add in a fabulous summer evening soiree celebrating an effervescent couple in their most cherished family home. as they say, the vibes are immaculate.

punchy, bold colors + playful patterns danced across the tent floor + adorned swaying overhead lighting, even finding its way onto dinner ware, lounge furniture, + custom kippot. the zest of the palette found its balance in the restraint of fine materials + elevated printing methods.

a moody, dynamic suite laden with cultural significance. for linh + chris, we focused on evoking + creating memories + a sense of place. we rooted the suite with a custom scent, aspen wood engravings, and a custom designed chiyogami pattern to honor the bride’s asian heritage. our choice to use holographic foil harkens to their ceremony space - in the clouds, atop aspen mountain.

new yorkers love aspen. it's not hard to see why aspen is loveable, but for new yorkers - true city slickers - it's juxtaposition to their concrete jungle is astutely ironic. we wanted to create a design to play upon this notion. we called upon the aspen for design inspiration. the tree is as symbolic to the colorado aesthetic as its namesake, but ironically relatable to the style vibes of the east coast for its modern, styled + striking appearance. a little sophistication with gold foil, brass findings, + a high contrast textile wrap made this well rooted design an exciting first impression for a celebratory trip to aspen.

a ranch wedding, but make it black tie. a james bond inspired speakeasy with late night reveal. all of this happens in the middle of a field. a monogram/brand without letters because the bride is known by her nickname. annnnnd go!

kelsey + matt’s playfulness brought bold, juicy tropical colors to the shores of michigan in a way only they could do. a generational vintner + distiller by trade, their story began over champagne + a conversation about bubbly. thus began a relationship as effervescent as only a great glass of bubbly can imbue.

charlotte + blake wanted a twist on a traditional bridal portrait, bright springy colors, along with texture + depth. we delivered with a custom stag + fox portrait that we carried through onto their information card with the antler + tail detail. luxurious letterpress printing atop pillowy cotton paper balanced the brightness of green + high touch textures we incorporated in this suite.

we also sought to further tell their wedding day story with whimsical branding + typography along with a curated selection of vintage postage + calligraphy.

accurate descriptions of India, but also the event experience julia + shashin worked hard to curate. guests received their introduction to this fabulous India wedding weekend by opening luxe + vivid turquoise envelopes. inside, a colorful + modern invitation awaited them. a bold, clean geometric pattern was carried throughout the wedding weekend along with their vivid color story of turquoise, fuchsia, tangerine + gold.

julia + shashin were impressed to accommodate guests at all turns. every thought was given to honor their guests + amplify their experience in India. the couple opted for bookmark wedding favors, helpful signage throughout the resort + most thoughtfully, a welcome deck to be placed in each guests room. the welcome piece featured the geometric foil stamp on walnut wood veneer cover + bright hand dyed silk ribbon. inside the deck, guests found a daily schedule of happenings + amenities available during their stay.

feeling the stretch of the leather in your cowboy boots, you crest the timber steps of the lodge. the october chill causes you to draw your fur lined pendleton closer to your chest. you’re gearing up to celebrate at a beautiful wedding - a beautiful love set against the vast expanses of open fields + grazing ponies.

the premise alone is inspiring. we channeled our creativity in the direction of ‘refined west’ + leaned into textures of waxed canvas, leather, wood, rope + wool. using a juxtaposition of rough hewn materials + luxury print methods, our expression of this ‘refined west’ aesthetic stitched together a story worth a lingering look.

we always take into account the setting of a couple’s chosen day. lake tahoe provides no shortage of inspiration. the couple’s story also drives our design decisions. we chose to represent amanda + daniel’s personalities in our color selections. amanda’s portion was with crimson to symbolize her recent triumph over a heart condition that nearly kept her from her wedding day. daniel’s portion was with camel - a steady + adaptable hue symbolic of his reliable companionship throughout their relationship.

other symbolism included a dupioni silk ribbon pinned around the invitation. it was both a functional way of closing the suite + a representation of mending + healing. the couple’s traditional monogram, shown with a classic foil cameo, harkens to a life intertwined.

this boxed invitation featured laser engraving, aspen wood, hand dyed cotton twill ribbon, intentional vintage postage + cowhide. The ultimate hope is always to “wow”, but more importantly to represent our client + many of Aspen’s majestic attributes. we completed the pieces with a custom watercolor featuring the meadow scene ceremony site.

there are a few color combinations I am quite threatened by, one being black, red, and white. i was initially worried when this was the selected palette for brantley + david. however, when the groom’s, who have exceptional taste, trust YOU, it was the vote of confidence I needed.

i created a pen + ink silhouette that became the crux of the branding throughout. i paired the loose-ness of that graphic with clean lines, structured design + hard/fast materials. this design was inspired by notes of vintage branding, restaurant tills, and a bit of swagger. Maybe black, red, and white aren’t so bad after all.

brown paper packages - the prettiest you’ve seen. these are a few of our favorite things.

this boxed suite was sent to 20 of the couple’s most favorite people - their honored wedding guests. treated to a special weekend at a private ranch in Montana, the couple wanted their invited guests to feel completely pampered. we used an ivory linen box, a custom sketch of one of the property’s famed vistas, branded fawn colored leather with a custom logo, wood veneer + engraved copper welcome tags. wrap that up with hand lettered calligraphy addresses + vintage stamps. now that’s a total package.
