installations have become a big wedding trend for day-of stationery + we have loved being able to produce some fun + unique ones over the years! today we are highlighting 3 types of installations- vertical, tabletop + gifting. have some fun learning about the different types + perusing through some of our favorite installations over the past year!
vertical installations- “low high, look low”
vertical installations are arguably the most popular. we have created many walls + paneled vertical installations over the years + it has been so fun to bring each of our client’s unique vision to life! for taylor + drew’s wedding earlier this year, we created an interactive vertical display with vintage phones + instructions for guests to “call in” for their seating assignment. during cocktail hour, guests would pick up the phone + give their name; a member of our team would be on the other line to give them their table number + details as they moved into the reception tent for dinner.
not only was this installation a fun interactive experience for guests, it was also a nod to the couple’s love story. taylor + drew had to do long distance while dating + part of their relationship’s foundation was built over long phone calls.
tabletop installation- “let’s table this idea”
the second type of installation we are highlighting today is tabletop. tabletop displays like this one (below) can be a great fit depending on the venue, space + event layout. our goal for jess + bret’s tabletop installation was something soft, low profile to fit the space + compliment their ceremony setting. we chose handmade paper with pressed flowers to play off of the ceremony site and calligraphed leather tag with seating assignments. Their tabletop display was a mix of custom wooden displays + stands that felt appropriate given their modern + open layout reception set-up.
gifting installation- “the gift that keeps on giving”
the final type of installation we are breaking down today is gifting. a gifting installation is unique in the fact that it is also the guest’s wedding favor. amanda + daniel chose to gift their guests a custom fragrance for them to take back home. the box included a custom blend of essential oils + a wooden diffuser. guests found their seats for the evening while also receiving a gift that will act as a beautiful reminder of this fun evening for months to come.
we have lots of beauty to share from the past year, so stay tuned friends! there’s more where this came from…
