We can’t believe it’s that time again, fall is upon us! We are beyond blessed to be approaching a season of cooler temperatures, changing aspens, Pumpkin spice, and of course fall fashion (give me all the flannels and scarfs!!) The studio has been buzzing with wedding day items, signage, logo design and consultations for 2019 couples! We are ready for life to slow down a bit and want to take more time to write and reflect.
Ever since three of our wedding invitations were featured on Martha Stewart weddings (click here for the feature), we have been dreaming of wax seals! Though we have been using them since SZP started, we are seeing it become more of a trend + we couldn’t be happier!
Our wax seal process begins with creating a custom monogram or design that we then send to be made into a wax seal stamp. Upon receiving the seal stamp, we pour the wax for each seal from a glue gun + apply the stamp. Hint: if you are trying this at home, wax melted in a glue gun will allow for an easier + more controlled pour! Wax seals are not just for closing envelopes, use them as a way to “tie” your ribbon around your invitation or keep your inserts in place. Additionally, items such as leaves or feathers can be added to the seal to add to the overall design + vision.
Though we enjoy creating wax seals for invites, we love adding them to seating charts, escort card displays, place cards, menus + programs! They are such a unique detail that can be used throughout each piece of your stationery.
