Our definition?

  1. oh so scary. oh so beautiful.

Letterpress printing is such a beautiful addition to any invitation and we love it! Some of our most popular designs have included letter pressing. Though as stated in our definition... it can be so scary! The process requires a high degree of craftsmanship! Letterpress printing is a technique of relief printing using a printing press. A printer composes and locks movable type into the bed of a press, inks it, and presses paper against it to transfer the ink from the type which creates an impression on the paper. To bring out the best attributes of letterpress, printers must understand the capabilities and advantages of what can be a very unforgiving medium.

Needless to say, it is hard work! But, the payoff is unique and elegant! It adds a certain level of luxury don’t you think?
